【摘要】:Thisisnotaroutinetest.Thevaluesrecordedareapplicableonlytothesewerbeingtestedandatthetimeoftesting.1.1Thispracticecoversproceduresfortestingconcretepipesewerlines,whenusingthelow-pressureairtestmethodtodemonstratetheintegrityoftheinstalledmaterialandtheconstructionprocedures.Thispracticeisusedfortesting4to24-in.circularconcretepipesewerlinesutilizinggasketedjoints.1.2Thispracticeisalsousedasapreliminarytesttoenabletheinstallertodemonstratetheconditionofthelinepriortobackfill.1.3AcompletemetriccompaniontoPracticeC924hasbeendevelopedx2014;C924M;therefore,nometricequivalentsarepresentedinthispractice.Note18212;Theuserofthispracticeisadvisedthatairtestcriteriapresentedinthispracticearesimilartothoseingeneraluse.Thetestandcriteriahavebeenusedwidelyandsuccessfullyintestingsmallerdiameterpipe,butadditionaldataarerequiredtoconfirmthesafetyandapplicabilityordevelopcriteriaforpipelargerthan24in.indiameter.Largerpipewillbeacceptedmoreconvenientlybyvisualinspectionandindividualjointtesting.Note28212;Theuserofthispracticeisadvisedthatnocorrelationhasbeenfoundbetweenairlossandwaterleakage.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse(seeSection6,SafetyPrecautions).
